We Made It to Sydney

DSCF0768

I had to get this Latitude Longitude captured on my GPS. It’s taken all day to even let it sink in that we’re in Australia.

Our flights were all on time, thank goodness, and we have a generally smooth time all the way. The girls slept well on the plane.

The girls and I went into Sydney, Darling Harbor, today with Shannon and Holly Lockridge (TX). We went to the aquarium and generally walked everywhere around the Darling Harbor. This is an incredibly beautiful city and it’s hard to say why, but there’s a lot of it that just seems different (in a good way) than what you read in the travel guides. The scale of it, for one thing, is hard to get across. It’s a cross between an urban, eastern city and souther California.

We rode the ferry from Olympic Park all the way into Sydney and all along the way, there were gorgeous waterfront homes that looked like both Spanish and modern La Jolla architectures.

It’s about 9:30p pm right now - I need to get this posted and hit the hay. We hit the wall here when it was about 3am at home.
